Yes, I did just abandon San Francisco for Vancouver... the other Vancouver, in Washington State. It’s across the Columbia River from Portland, Oregon. Time to explore! It appears that I am surrounded by parks and wildlife refuges, rivers, gorges, vineyards and not so extinct volcanos. Then I've got this super cool city just across the bridge and everywhere I go people are incredibly friendly and helpful and smiley. 

What am I going to do now that I live in the Pacific Northwest? First I’m going to follow my interests and get out there. I am a songwriter and a singer. Check out my Beth Marlin music life. I’ll be finding ways to connect with the music community, but for the moment I feel compelled to share my discoveries about the people, culture, history, and beauty of this place. So I’m starting a blog. To learn and become a part of something through writing about it.
